Praise God and Him alone!!

In all that happens in my life I give praise to God and Him alone (Psalm 146:1-10). God is the reason for who I am today. I do not praise man for anything. Throughout my life I have been to a few churches and have sat under some great pastors. However, God may have used people in those churches to bless me. I still do not praise them. I Praise God and Him alone. Sure I do believe in honor and respect. I mean the Bible even talks about honoring individuals (Mark 12:30-31). I have had great parents that raised me the best way they could but I do not praise them for the way I turned out. I love them, respect them, thank them, and I honor them (Exodus 20:12), but I Praise God and Him alone. I have worked for some great companies that have help provide income for me and my family. I don't praise them for giving me an opportunity. I am grateful and thankful for it, but God appointed me there (Romans 13:1) so because of that I Praise God and Him alone. I am blessed to have a wonderful wife who is a God fearing woman. She loves me just as much as I love her with all of her heart and soul. I don't praise her for loving me. I honor her and show her how much I am thankful by the love and respect I give her everyday (Ephesians 5:25-30). For her, I praise God and Him alone. I have great friends and mentors in my life to teach me, guide me, and that show me so much love. For them being in my life, I praise God and Him alone. Recently I have been blessed with a beautiful baby girl that has to be the prettiest little girl on the planet. For the privilege to love her, guide her and help turn her into a wonderful woman of God (Ephesians 6:4). I praise God and Him alone.

All through life you will see that man fall. They will always let us down. They will make mistakes, and even turn their backs on us. We can forgive and forget. Most of the time, we probably will. Especially, when one truly repents and turns from their mistakes or immoral lifestyle. In the book of Numbers (22:21-39) God used a Donkey to speak to Balaam to get him on the right path and to hear God's instruction. God still uses Donkeys today to speak to us and get us on the right path. So we need to not Praise any man or creature for anything. God may use them to speak to us for a moment, but it was God that put them there to guide you. It was God that created this world (Genesis 1:1), It was God that created you (Jeremiah 1:5), it was God that died on the cross (Mark 15:34-47), then rose again on the third day (Mark 16:1-6) and it is God that saves your soul (John 3:16). So don’t praise man...Praise GOD, and Him alone! (Psalm 146:1-10)

Radio-Active

There is a great place on the web where people can voice their opinions. Yes, I know we have MySpace, and Bloggers out there. But this is a little different. It's a blog for people to have their very own Radio Talk Show. It's call BlogTalkRadio.com

BlogTalkRadio.com is an awesome place. You get to host your own radio talk show. Talk about whatever you want and have people call in and voice their opinion.

When I first heard about this I thought it was cool. I was like, "Wow! That's awesome to be able to have your own radio talk show." However, I never thought I would actually decide to do it. I never thought that I would host a show. If I did, "what in the world would I talk about?"

I was listening to a friend's radio show when I got an idea of what type of show I need to have. Not a show for me though....a show for Radiate Student Ministries. A show where teenagers could listen to and get answers to all the problems they are dealing with. A show where they can listen to other teenagers who are dealing with the same types of problems and situations. A show where if they have a question they can call in and get the answer. A show to deliver to them the word of God. A show that will lead other teenagers into the doors of the church.

This new Radio Talk Show is coming to the Internet AirWaves very very soon....

Are you Ready to be Radio-Active?

Coming soon......

Story of Billy Bowman

Hey everyone,

Been a while since I have blogged. I have had a lot on my mind and have a lot to discuss. However, I will just talk about Last Nights (May 7th) Wednesday Night Radiate Service.

May 7th was the twelve year anniversary of the death of my childhood best friend Billy Bowman. So last night I felt led to speak to the teenagers about Billy and his life.

(I will give you a quick short version of Billy's story)
Billy was a little guy, so little that he wanted to be a jockey. Billy and I met in the 3rd grade and we were best friends. We hung out all the time. However, Billy moved a lot and as time past. Billy and I didn't get to see each other much. Billy was such a lovable kid and had the favor of God on his life.

Billy was then shot and killed by a person he thought was a friend on May 7, 1996 just one day after his 12th Birthday. He did nothing to provoke him.

The person that killed him Kenneth Eastridge got away with it. Because of him being a minor he didn't have to do certain things that an 18 year old will have to do.

However, recently Kenneth was on trail for Murder again. This time in Colorado, come to find out he went to the Military and in Iraq killed some people over there too.

It reminds me of the scripture Numbers 32:23 "..your sin will one day find you out"

His sin sure did find him out. However, God allowed twelve years to past before punishment had to be paid. I believe that was because God was giving Kenneth an opportunity to REPENT. The same way he did with Cain in the bible after Cain killed his brother Able.

Cain tried cover up his sin and so did Kenneth. However, as we learn with Adam and Eve. You can not cover your own sin. They made fig leaves as clothes after they sin when they realized they were naked. God had to provide a sacrifice by killing an animal and giving them covering for there sin and shame.

That same thing points to Jesus Christ. We try to do things to cover up our sin. It's like we put fig leaves over us. However, God has to provide the covering so he sent his son Jesus Christ to die on the Cross as our covering. As long as we REPENT we receive that covering.

Last night, many teenagers came to the Alter to finally put away their covering and grab a hold of God's covering for their sin.

God even spoke through one of the teenagers Joel who gave a word from the Lord that we as a church need to stop being lazy and to start preaching the Gospel and showing the love of Christ and read the word of God everyday.

It was definitely a happy ending to a start of a tragic story of my friend Billy Bowman.

Romans 8:28 says, "all things work together for the Good for them that love the Lord.."

Billy's death made a lot of us question why he would die so young. It was because of fruit of his life to have other people and Teenagers coming to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ so they to can have eternal life in Christ as I believe Billy has.

Thank you God for putting me in a position to share the life of Billy and your Holy Word.

Are You Ready?

What's Up?

A lot has happen so let's start with Winterfest.

Winterfest was an awesome experience. The teenagers were really touched and God really truly changed their lives that weekend. There were teenagers that got saved, baptized in the Holy Spirit for he first time and made things right with people they had drama with.

It was amazing to see God grow and change lives right before my eyes. The was including Youth Leaders as well. God is good and the Lord knows exactly what he is doing.

After Winterfest God has continued to mature our teenagers. Every week it amazes me by how much so many of them have changed.

It almost wants to have another Winterfest next week and takes the ones that didn't get to go to it.

However, we don't need to go to Winterfest to have the presence of God. We can have it right here in our Youth Group. All we have to do is be ready for God and allow him to change our lives.

I am ready for God to take over Radiate.

Are You?
